The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) has announced admission for various courses in three centres namely Guwahati, Chandigarh and Haridwar. Three of these centres have varying dates of course commencement and application. Detailed information about every course in the respective centres is given on the central NIELIT website nielit.gov.in.
The academic session for NIELIT Guwahati will be starting from August 2021. A total of eight (08) NIELIT study centres are located throughout the state of Assam. Two ‘O’ and ‘A’ level IT courses will be offered that will focus on web designing, python and the internet of things (IoT). The duration of these two courses is one year. Likewise, two ‘O’ and ‘A’ level courses are offered in Computer Hardware and Maintenance (CHM) that will span for 06 months. The Guwahati centre will also offer certificate courses in computer application, data entry and office automation, ITES BPO, soft skills, etc. Note that the certificate courses will not have durations based on months or years but rather hours.
The Guwahati centre has also announced admission to regular formal courses like BCA and M.Sc. in Computer Science. Online application forms along with the application process are available on nielit.gov.in and nielitassam.net. The last date for registration is August 30, 2021.
NIELIT Chandigarh along with IIT Ropar has announced five month’s finishing school programme mainly targeting the pass outs and final year students in computer science, IT and electronics. The core concepts of the IT course include fundamentals, OS, data structures, algorithm design, etc. Students will also get to choose specialized elective subjects. Likewise, the core concepts of the electronics course include C programming, MATLAB programming, networking concepts, etc. In terms of specialization, the student will get to choose one compulsory and one elective course. The starting date for both the courses is September 06, 2021, while the number of seats for IT and electronics is 15 each. In case of query, candidates can reach out to 01881-257061 and 7087235365.
Likewise, NIELIT Haridwar has also released an admission notification for the sponsored training programmes,s especially for the SC and ST category engineering pass out students. There will be two courses namely certified embedded software engineer and PG diploma in data science & analytics. The duration of both these courses is 06 months while the number of seats for each is 25. The last date for applying has been extended to September 07, 2021. To know about the eligibility criteria and other details, interested candidates can visit nielit.gov.in and select the Haridwar centre under the ‘North zone’.
The Haridwar centre is also inviting applications ‘O’ level, certificate in computer application (CCA) and course on computer concepts (CCC) courses. Please note that SC and ST candidates will get 100% reimbursement of the caution money paid for registration and examination once the course is over and they get the certificate. On the other hand, a 50% fee concession, on the amount paid for training, will be given to 20 meritorious students from the General/OBC categories. The last date for online application is September 10, 2021 by 5 PM.
